Alternatively, you can take a taxi directly to the hotel. Once at the hotel, have lunch in their restaurant overlooking Lake Como before checking in and enjoying a day of pampering before heading out for dinner and drinks at Hotel Villa d’Este. Another great thing about this location is that guests do not have to worry about carrying their gear with them; all they have to do is put it on when they arrive and then head out onto the trail! After completing the trail (which takes between 20 minutes and 30 minutes), head back up to grab a refreshing drink before continuing your day on Waikiki Beach! While the trails are not a breathtaking type of scenery, it is a great and inexpensive alternative to other types of ocean adventures. One of my favorite restaurants on this side of the island is Uma Uma Island Bistro. The atmosphere is lovely, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. There’s also a poolside bar where you can relax with a drink after dinner!
